I was a stranger and you welcomed me…

Fellowship is a very important cornerstone of Church of the Western Reserve. The words friend, friendly and friendship are the essence of the meaning of fellowship. We say that because a major component of our fellowship is very informal interaction when friends gather after our Sunday services. At our church, people don’t race for the exit. We stick around and share fellowship every week.

For those who want to include a more structured fellowship experience, we offer the following opportunities:

Women, Wine and the Word

We have an excellent crowd of ladies who meet at 6:15 in the evening on the fourth Monday of every month at area restaurants.

Gents, Good Times and the Gospel

The men meet from 7:30-9:00 p.m. on the first Monday evening of each month. They meet in the Choir Room at CWR.

Breckenridge Bible Banter

A number of our Seniors live at Breckenridge Village in Willoughby and they meet on the first Monday of each month from 10-11:30 a.m. Many stay for lunch. They meet in the North Building Conference Room which is located at 36500 Euclid Avenue. It is mot limited to Breckenridge residents.

Teens Talk and Testimony

Our youth group, TTT – grades 6-12 – meets every Sunday 11:30 to 12:45. Yes, it’s a social time, but the primary purpose is Christian education, faith formation and discipleship training. Once every month, this group does a special activity in the community.

What a wonderful welcoming atmosphere! You are greeted warmly as you enter a beautiful sanctuary filled with sounds of soul stirring music. The pastor draws one in with her engaging smile and relatable sermons. One leaves filled with the spirit and a sense of belonging.

My husband and I joined The Church of the Western Reserve because we thought so highly of the minister. She is the most compassionate person I know plus being smart, articulate, funny and gives a wonderful sermon every single Sunday. The congregation is very friendly and welcoming because Rev Sandy encourages us to turn and greet our nearby members during a Sunday service. All and all it is a wonderful environment.
