Genesis 19:17-26
Moving Forward When the two angels brought Lot, his wife, and his two daughters out of Sodom, they told them not to look back. Lot's wife looked back and she became a pillar of salt (Genesis 19:26).
Thousands of years later, Jesus told his followers to remember Lot's wife. Once we decide to follow, we are to move forward and not look back on our old life. If we try to cling to our life, we will miss out on serving God as fully as God wants us to serve. If we are willing to put our service to God above all else and risk our life in order to serve, we will find true life. Ask God how God wants you to serve. Then ask God for courage to follow where God leads you.
