Bible Verses Philippians 3:8 I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus.

I Corinthians 15:58 Your labor in the Lord is never in vain.

Proverbs 16:3 Commit whatever you do to the Lord, and the Lord will establish your plans.

What was your very first job? What was your favorite job? What do you consider to be your life's work? No matter what we do, big or small, or how we spend our time, we can commit it to the Lord. So much power of God comes upon us and upon our work when we do that. When we commit our time, our relationships, our money, our bodies, our service, to the Lord, it is amazing to see God at work, and to feel our hearts at peace.

I remember learning this principle when I first read Practicing His Presence by Brother Lawrence and Frank Laubach. Even washing dishes becomes a sacred act with eternal value. May you recognize that how you are spending your time is becoming your life's work. May you dedicate it to the Lord and know it has eternal value.

Take My Life Take my life and let it be consecrated, Lord, to Thee; Take my moments and my days - let them flow in ceaseless praise, Let them flow in ceaseless praise.

Quarantine Truth We could never learn to be brave or patient if there were only joy in the world. - Helen Keller
